UPDATED INFORMATION
To answer the emailed questions and the comments posted on this article, we've asked a representative of Team Lindsay to respond to your directly via this thread. Until an official response comes forth, here's what we know: By clicking on the following link, you will be taken to a site where you can register to be tested. Our understanding is that you will be mailed a cheek swab kit, and that there is no associated cost other than a voluntary request for donation.

A HUGE thank you to all of the people who came out to support the event at Rick's. And while we're at it....when you're deciding where to go to dinner in Chagrin Falls please consider Rick's Cafe. It should matter to all of us when an area merchant goes out of their way to help, and we should respond by patronizing their businesses whenever we can.
Please don't hesitate to post additional questions here via the comments, we will do our best to have them answered.
If you’re receiving this message I need for you to come to Rick’s Café tonight at any point between 7pm and 9pm.
Lindsay Rawot is a 23 year old Chagrin Falls High School 2005 graduate (Girls Lacrosse All American and current Duke University Engineering student) who desperately needs your Peripheral Blood Stem Cells (PBSC) to survive. In November 2008, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and has reached the point where this stem cell transfer may be her best option.
Bottom Line:
- Attending the event costs NOTHING (unless you want to take advantage of Rick’s $4 Wednesday Margarita night!)
- All you have to do tonight is REGISTER, you will receive a kit (in the mail) to swab your cheek and then mail it back in to see if you’re a match, again NO COST
- If you are a match, the actual procedure is NOT a bone marrow transplant. All she needs is a transfer of Peripheral Blood Stem Cells which they can draw through a simple IV process
This is a 23 year old young woman with her life ahead of her. She’s from Chagrin, and she’s asking for help from her community. That’s part of what we do, isn’t it?
I’m asking you personally, from me, to come to Rick’s tonight between 7pm and 9pm and register. Then when you receive your kit, swab and mail it in.
See you there,
Jesse Weinberger

A letter from Lindsay to you:
Friends,
As most of you know, I'm currently in the process of a Stem Cell Transplant. And, unfortunately, by "in the process" I mean COMPLETELY STALLED, as I do not have a matched donor and my own stem cells aren't good enough. So I am waiting to find a matched donor to donate Peripheral Blood Stem Cells (PBSC) so that I can finally kick lymphoma. What you don't know, however, is that YOU could be that match. And it's super easy to do!! Also, It's free!
Seriously, that's all. Even donating is not a big deal. I know you're thinking, "bone marrow?! Doesn't that hurt?" Well, let me tell you two very important things. Firstly, I have done it before. Secondly, I don't even want your bone marrow. I want your Peripheral Blood Stem Cells (PBSC), which they get through a super-easy IV process. So easy. So easy I in fact already did it for myself, but my stem cells weren't good enough to make the cut.
Basically, I want, need, gotta have, your DNA. And if we're a match, think about it: we could be twins. We could dress alike as well as sharing immune systems. Well, not really, but if you're into that, I'll do it.
Much love,
Lindsay
