In the right column of each page on IChagrin.com there is a section called ‘Upcoming Events’. This section shows the next handful of events. Clicking on the event will show more information related to that particular event.
General Info
The Calendar section of this site is meant to publicize events and meetings for churches, schools, and nonprofit organizations in the IChagrin.com user area. Charging some fee for the event is OK with us as long as the organization putting on the event is a nonprofit/school/church.
By clicking on the Calendar icon on the main navigation system located on every page on IChagrin.com you will arrive at today’s events on the Calendar. That main page also provides additional navigation to view the Calendar in several different ways.
The items on the calendar are color coded by type of event.
Arts & Entertainment – pale yellow
Schools & Education – orange
Historical – gray
Church - light pink
Political/Government - blue
Health & Fitness - purple
Sports - maroon
Festivals & Fairs - magenta
Home & Garden - lavendar
Fundraisers - emerald green
Family Friendly - light green
Publicizing NonProfit Events
Although all nonprofit organizations have access to the Calendar at no cost, there are situations where purchasing an additional classified ad within the “Special Events and Promotions” would make sense. Let’s say your church has an annual Pancake Breakfast. Although that event would be listed on the Calendar, creating an ad within the classifieds expands your reach to those users who are looking for a local event, and looking to spend money doing it.
Publicizing For Profit Events
Local businesses can publicize their events and sales via the classified ads by using the category entitled “Special Events and Promotions”. These classified ads are a low-cost way to publicize your event to the local IChagrin.com community. Click here for more information on buying a classified ad.
How To Add an Event
If your event complies with these restrictions, please email all of the details to info@iChagrin.com. Whenver the event has an ongoing recurrence, please let us know what that is. For example Moms’ Club Meetings are the 1st Monday of each month at 7pm meeting at the Town Hall.
Please allow one week to 10 days for your event to appear on the site.
